Walking through coffee farms in different producing regions, we surveyed how many regenerative practices producers apply to their properties. We always identify various management techniques, even without certification requiring them—producers voluntarily implement sustainable practices that benefit both the environment and production!
There are still many definitions of “REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE“, but based on everything I’ve researched so far, I understand it as a set of practices aimed at improving soil health and biodiversity while increasing coffee productivity and quality sustainably, using the environment as an ally in production. It not only sustains soil and resources but seeks to restore and enhance the production environment.
During our farm visits, we identified five key practices adopted by producers:
Regenerative Agriculture is highly dynamic precisely because it adapts to the needs of each property while always aiming for the same goal: meeting global coffee demand with sustainability and high productivity per area!
Many producers have already been adopting some of these practices on their own for years! Sustainable coffee farming is not new, and from now on, we aim to expand this approach through certifications that ensure both producers and consumers the truth and effectiveness of agriculture that benefits the environment! ☕️☕️☕️
